During the previous 17 years, I have been involved with Matt Pelham in the meltblown process industry. Matt has extensive experience in the design, erection, commissioning and development of products covering a wide spectrum of the meltblown technologies. Matt has designed several machines ranging from flat sheet filtration and oil sorbents to cartridge units utilizing a variety of polymers. This equipment is still in operation in many areas of the world ranging from China, Italy to the US. Oerlikon Neumag Nonwovens is one of the world’s largest Nonwoven equipment manufacturers. Included in our portfolio of equipment are our unique and patented meltblown technologies. These technologies were originally developed by J&M Laboratories in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s where I worked as a sales engineer and Mr. Pelham worked as a design engineer. I have been associated with Mr. Pelham since 1992, when Mr. Pelham first started at J&M Labs. Mr. Pelham was responsible for the design and development of our Meltblown cartridge filter winding equipment and technology. We successfully delivered several machines within the United States as well as internationally. In the latter part of 1996, Mr. Pelham started his own business building cartridge filter systems under a cooperative agreement that was executed between our former company President Martin Allen and Mr. Pelham. Since then, I am aware of several machinery installations that Mr. Pelham and his firm have designed and built for the production of meltblown cartridge filters. I am not aware of any problems with these installations. I continue to enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship with Mr. Pelham, and any time I am approached to supply this type of machinery, I kindly refer the customers to Mr. Pelham, as I have done so for over 22 years.
